A weekly outdoor adventure for elementary-age kids
Ever Adventure’s After-School Nature Club gives elementary kids a chance to decompress after the school day, get outside, move their bodies, and learn through exploration.
This series is designed for children ages 6-12 who enjoy adventure, discovery, nature, animals, rocks, building, and hands-on challenges. Each week focuses on a different outdoor theme.
Children may explore topics such as:
Animal adaptations and habitats
Rocks, fossils, minerals, and soil
Forest exploration
Insects and pollinators
Weather and seasonal changes
Nature survival skills
Mapping, observation, and outdoor problem-solving
The After-School Nature Club is built to feel fun and adventurous while still being purposeful. Kids will practice teamwork, observation, independence, resilience, and creative thinking.
What makes it special:
This is structured nature-education time with room for real discovery. Kids get the benefits of fresh air, movement, and hands-on learning while building a stronger connection to the natural world.We will use Olentangy Caverns’ 37 acres as our home base for exploration. Class will include outdoor and indoor elements.
Best for: Elementary-age kids who enjoy exploring outside.
Ages: ages 6-12
Dates: Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, Sept 1 - Nov 4 (10 sessions)
Drop-off: 4:00 - 4:05 pm
Pick up: 6:00pm
Class length: 2 hours
Location: Olentangy Caverns will be our home base. Please meet at the indoor party room near the restrooms.

Ever Adventure’s Preschool Nature Enrichment series gives young children a chance to explore, move, wonder, create, and learn through hands-on time in nature.
This series is designed for preschool-age children who are curious about the world around them. Each week focuses on a different nature theme and includes a mix of outdoor exploration, sensory activities, movement, stories, simple science, creative projects, and play-based learning.
Children may explore topics such as:
Animals and their habitats
Birds, bugs, tracks, and signs of wildlife
Rocks, soil, leaves, seeds, and trees
Seasonal changes
Weather and water
Nature art and imaginative outdoor play
Preschoolers learn best by touching, noticing, moving, collecting, comparing, pretending, and asking questions. This class is designed to give young children a positive first experience with nature-based learning in a safe, welcoming setting.
What makes it special:
This is a gentle, age-appropriate introduction to outdoor learning. Children will have room to move, explore, and be curious while practicing group participation, listening, sharing discoveries, and building confidence in nature.We will use Olentangy Caverns’ 37 acres as our home base for exploration. Class will include outdoor and indoor elements.
Best for: Preschool-age children who enjoy exploring, creating, moving, and being outside.
Ages: ages 3-5
Dates: Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, Sept 1 - Nov 4 (10 sessions)
Class time: 10am - 11:15am
Class length: 1 hour 15 minutes
Price: $249 for the 10-week series

Working together for Nature-based Education
Ever Adventure and Olentangy Caverns are partnering to bring nature-based enrichment programs to the Central Ohio area.
Simply put, children need more time outside — and less time on screens. Together, we’re creating hands-on outdoor learning experiences so central Ohio children have more opportunities to play outside.
Exploring in our backyard
With Olentangy Caverns’ 37-acre property as our home base, children will have room to discover, investigate, and learn through real outdoor adventure.
When applicable, classes will use the wonders of the property including a cave, barnyard animals, nature trail, rocks & gems, and creek (seasonal).

Ever Adventure was created by a local mom and business owner who wanted to give children more opportunities to wander.Inspired by years of watching families connect with the outdoors at Olentangy Caverns, this new program helps kids explore and feel more confident in the natural world.
